Folded Segments Slider

The Folded Segments Slider controls the number of folded segments within the visible area of a frame. The total number of segments depends on the frame’s aperture width. By default, there is roughly one segment per millimetre, but moving the slider to the right decreases the segment spacing, increasing the number of folds and capturing finer details.

Availability

The Folded Segments Slider is available only for Frame Pattern Types.

How It Works

  • Moving the slider to the right increases the number of concertina folds by reducing the spacing between segments, capturing finer details in the design.
  • A lower setting results in fewer folded segments, simplifying the pattern and creating a bolder, less intricate final image.
  • Adjusting this slider helps balance the level of detail with the complexity of folding, allowing you to customise the pattern to match the desired outcome and skill level.
  • This setting ensures the folded paper design achieves the desired level of detail while maintaining structural integrity within the frame.

Why It’s Useful

  • Lets you control the intricacy of the folded paper pattern.
  • Balances complexity with ease of folding.
  • Optimises the pattern for both simple and highly detailed designs.
  • Ensures structural integrity within the frame while maximising visual detail.
