Pattern Type Buttons
The Pattern Type buttons let you choose the kind of pattern you want to create in the Framesmart Pattern Maker. Selecting the correct type ensures that the right settings, dimensions, and tools are available for your project.
Availability
The Pattern Type buttons are available on the main screen of the Framesmart Pattern Maker.
How It Works
Choosing the Frame option enables you to create a pattern designed for framed folded paper artwork.
- Frame-specific dimensions (Internal and Aperture) will be displayed and editable.
- The Before Canvas and After Canvas update to reflect the usable area inside the frame.
Choosing the Book option enables you to create a pattern designed for book folding.
- Book-specific dimensions (Leaf/Page Count, Book Height, Border Height) will be displayed and editable.
- The Before Canvas and After Canvas update to reflect the usable area within the book’s pages.
Why It’s Useful
- Makes sure the correct measurement tools and dimensions are shown for your chosen medium.
- Prevents mistakes by tailoring the interface to either framed folded paper artwork or book folding.
- Provides a clear workflow depending on your project type.
