Frame Dimensions
The Frame Dimensions define the physical space available inside your frame for creating folded paper artwork. These settings ensure that your design fits correctly within the frame’s internal area and visible opening.
Availability
The Frame Dimensions are available when the Frame Pattern Type is selected.
How It Works
On the main screen, the Frame Dimensions are displayed with an Edit button.
Clicking the Edit button opens a modal window where you can:
- Select the Unit Type (Metric or Imperial).
- Change the Internal Dimensions (Width, Height, Depth).
- Change the Aperture Dimensions (the visible opening at the front of the frame).
Unit Type lets you choose between Metric (mm, cm) or Imperial (inches). Changing the unit type automatically updates the canvas dimensions so the display always matches your preferred measurement system.
Internal Dimensions define the actual usable space inside the frame. These values determine how large your folded paper design can be.
Aperture Dimensions define the size of the visible opening at the front of the frame. The aperture may be smaller than the internal dimensions because of the frame’s border or mount.
Why It’s Useful
- Ensures your artwork fits correctly inside your chosen frame.
- Lets you customise dimensions to match any frame you want to use.
- Keeps the Before Canvas and After Canvas consistent with the real-world size of your project.
